Yarn On The Road: Skaha Lake, BC

It feels fitting to revive this site while on vacation in Penticton. Back in 2014 “Yarn on The Road” were my last posts and the Kelowna & Penticton post was never written. A lot of life happened in that 11 year gap, but those are all stories for another day. Today I share will you that while staying on Skaha Lake last week, JahDoily Knits was revived!

Why now, that’s probably also a story for another day, but the catalyst was time to relax. It didn’t hurt that I’d packed by Addi Clicks and a couple skeins of yarn. I cast on Rosemarie’s Garden Shawl and a few rows in all the elements fell into place. The creative itch was scratched, and we all know that that moment of relief leads to!

Patterns that were almost ready to publish back in 2014 will finally be released on Ravelry and joined by brand new designs. This website will get a refresh, possibly a full overhaul. The Facebook page will be the main form of social media. The @JahDoily Instagram account has been made private but that may change in the fall. We’ll see.

For teaser images and updates, join the Facebook (link above). As I get a more concrete plan in place, posts will be added to the site. If any readers are in Vancouver and interested in knitting samples, please let me know. There will also be test knitting calls posted to Ravelry

I do realize that this post speaks little to yarn or yarn stores in Penticton. Truth be told we didn’t go to any yarn stores this trip. I did pick up some yarn and bamboo needles from the thrift store in Penticton to teach my daughter on. That too, feels like a story for anther day.
